Think of it as video chatting with your favorite teller. An Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) combines the convenience of an ATM with the personal service and expertise that you’ve come to expect at Mass Bay Credit Union.
Almost any transaction that can be completed at a teller line can be completed at an ITM. Examples include:
The ITM machines are located at 10 Park Plaza, our South Boston Branch, our D Street Branch and Quincy Branch. They are staffed by our ITM team in our South Boston ITM Video Call Center.
Our MBCU ITMs bring personalized service to the convenience of an ATM. It has always been our goal to be as connected with our members as we can and to offer them the latest in financial technology. We are proud to be among the first to offer this convenient new banking method to our members.
Similar to video call programs, it uses a built in camera and speakers to provide the member and the teller with the ability to hear and see each other during the transaction.
You can discuss your account with the video teller, cash a check precisely to the penny, and receive your cash dispensed how you request.
Yes... It will automatically dispense the fewest amount of bills possible; however, if you request certain bills, the teller can change the number of each denomination being dispensed. Tellers can also dispense up to 99 cents, including quarters, nickels and pennies. Coins cannot be exchanged after they are dispensed.
Our ITM's have a few ways for you to communicate privately. Each machine has a telephone handset that you can use for private conversation, they all have a chat feature available – similar to text messaging – or you can use your own headphones. They are as secure as if you were doing a ‘teller’ transaction in one of our branches. Just like in a branch, we may require an ID for identification purposes. For security purposes all transactions are recorded.
It will be the same experience as the teller line. The teller can answer any funds availability questions you may have.
No, you do not. You can continue to use the ITM as you would use an ATM. Simply use your card like you have always done when making an ATM transaction. If you prefer your business to be more discreet, you can also use the on-screen text messaging function.
Yes, the ITMs are available:
The ATM is available 24/7.
