News About Our Building Project

To our loyal Mass Bay Credit Union members:
As you may be aware, Mass Bay Credit Union decided to explore its options to potentially redevelop the Credit Union property at 147 West 4th Street. This location has been the headquarters of the Credit Union for many years, and we are proud to call South Boston our home.
The redevelopment of our site would allow the Credit Union to move forward with state-of-the-art facilities, modernized infrastructure and overall improved services for our members, all while remaining in our South Boston location.
Unfortunately, the plans for the site did not meet the mutual objectives of the developer or the Credit Union and the plans to redevelop the site have been withdrawn.
What does this mean for the Credit Union?
The Credit Union continues to operate in the best interest of its membership. We have added new technologies while providing quality products and services. The Credit Union remains financially strong, and we are prepared to meet the needs of our Members and the community.
The Board of Directors will continue to evaluate and consider options for the best strategic future for the credit union property while always keeping the needs of the membership as a top priority.
The Board of Directors and Management team extend our appreciation to our elected officials for their unanimous support, Lincoln Property Company for their efforts and the many community partners that worked with us through this process.
